Handmade tools for woodwork

Find a Tool

My Interest in tool making started when I discovered the Sturt School for Wood. I have a fond memory of meeting the director at the time, Tom Harrington, and seeing the beautiful hand made dove tail saws, gauges and shoulder planes that the previous year’s students had made, and I was hooked. After completing my time at Sturt, and beginning my own furniture making practice, I also began exploring new ways of making tools. My tool making exploits have always been driven by a need for a tool that is different or better in some way than those on the market, and is always restricted by my skills and equipment. What you see here is an eclectic assortment of tools and aids that I have designed and made to suit my needs.
